Online Safety

As technology becomes more integrated within our lives, so does the need for making sure our children are able to navigate it confidently and safely. At Westville House School, the children have regular online safety assemblies with Mr Baldwin in addition to the online safety coverage in PSHEE and Computing lessons.

Our online safety provision follows the Education for a Connected World framework from the UK Council for Internet Safety. In accordance with this framework, online safety is organised into 8 areas: Self-image and identity; Online relationships; Online reputation; Online bullying; Managing online information; Health, well-being and lifestyle; Privacy and security; and Copyright and ownership.

Please see a link to our Online Safety Links document that contains links to websites that provide up to date guidance and advice for the whole school community. Our weekly Bulletin email sent to all parents has an Online Safety section that includes online safety tips and updates.
